NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 2015

Newsletter of October 2015.

Dear Friends and Family,

We are now full bore back into the school year and our calendar is really filling up. We have folks coming on cruise ships wanting their children to experience Casa Hogar Orphanage. We have a college team arriving from the Idaho State University in Idaho Falls that we will be using at the orphanage and also taking them north to the Banderas Bay Women's Shelter and another south to Boca de Tomatlan where we teach in the high school. We will also be starting a home for abused children here in town with our church.

Faye and I can praise our Lord for fairly good health and energy as we age. We are so excited to see our 36 children at the orphanage starting to use the English they are being taught. Our hiring of Silvia (teacher/school administrator) from California to teach our children social skills, computer skills and bible stories was the best investment we have made. The children are really changing and will be well prepared & equipped to enter the world of tourism where English is almost mandatory.

We are also teaching at the DIF (Social Services) Boys Home once a week.

We are looking forward to also teaching the children we are to receive from DIF for the new Paradise Church Home in January. This will be a very exciting project for us as these children will be foster kids but truly taught as our own, with not only English, but social skills and bible lessons as well. We ask you to join us in the support of this new home. A suggestion will be to provide a monthly support amount for each child. We will be pursuing 7 children for us to mentor which will include clothes, shoes, school uniforms and food etc. Our committee will be discussing at our next meeting the feasibility of online support for those of you that would like to join in this new very exciting endeavor.

We are now providing $400 of milk and $150 to $200 of prescription drugs for the children each month at Casa Hogar Maximo Cornejo Quiroz Orphanage. We can't thank you enough for your continued support of these basic needs for the children.
